Kavi Gupta is thrilled to participate in the 2019 Armory Fair in New York City. Now in its 26th edition, The Armory Fair is a highlight of the international art faircircuit, and a historic destination at which to see the best in Modern and Contemporary art.
For our 2019 Armory Fair booth, Kavi Gupta presents works by some of the most dynamic and innovative artists working today, including Beverly Fishman (winner of a 2018 Anonymous Was a Woman Grant), San Francisco-based Clare Rojas, Brooklyn-Based Kennedy Yanko, Atlanta-based Alfred Conteh (currently on view in The Sweet Spot at Clark Atlanta University Art Museum), Devan Shimoyama (currently on view in Devan Shimoyama: Cry, Baby, at the Andy Warhol Museum), Haitian-born, Montreal-based painter Manuel Mathieu, and Los Angeles-based, Korean-American Dansaekhwa painter Young-Il Ahn.
We are also proud to announce Dream Whip, a special presentation by Jessica Stockholder as part of Platform. Curated by Sally Talant, Platform showcases large-scale installations and performances that both respond to and activate the fair’s industrial venue. Stockholder was elected to the American Academy of Arts & Sciences in 2018, and her solo exhibition Jessica Stockholder: Stuff Matters will open on April 19th at Centraal Museum, Utrecht, The Netherlands.
