Overview
Chicago based fine artist Nikko Washington’s “Curtain Call” is now on view at the Cabin & the Bunker in Los Angeles, CA through November 22. The works were made during his stint at the La Brea Studio Artist Residency. His recent work portrays large dancing figures in movement amidst striking swirls of color on oil canvas, continuing his theme of exploring portraiture related to sports and movement. The wings depicted in each image, create a dream-like landscape and convey a sense of otherworldliness amongst the figures.
