Kavi Gupta presents SÉANCE, an evening of music, art, performance and community in celebration of Jeffrey Gibson’s stunning solo exhibition Beyond the Horizon, hosted by Gibson and multi-disciplinary artist and performer Ále Campos/Celeste.

 

Gibson’s life and work resonate powerfully with memories of the families Gibson found and constructed in the underground dance, music, art and performance scene while living, studying and working in Chicago in the 1990s.

 

Invoking the pioneering spirits of Chicago’s 90s drag underground, SÉANCE is a gathering of next-gen queer and BIPOC entertainers, including Dutchesz Gemini, Lynzo the Heartthrob, Kezia Waters, and Ruby Que, with sonic performances by DJs Zola/Zolita and Miss Twink USA.
