Arghavan Khosravi joined curator Samantha Cataldo for a midafternoon discussion on Khosravi’s highly anticipated, first solo museum exhibition at the Currier Museum of Art. Her multidimensional paintings center women protagonists and explore themes of oppression and exile. The artist draws inspiration from her memories and her current experience as an Iranian woman artist now living in the United States. Though partly autobiographical, Khosravi’s paintings evoke universal themes of isolation, belonging, and liberation.
