Kavi Gupta Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new work by Clare Rojas entitled Spaces in Between. Clare Rojas is a storyteller and is highly regarded for her paintings, installations, and performances that explore the private narrative. Often engaging in political and social sentimentalities, her work speaks in a signature language of figures, patterns, and animals inspired by folk art.

Spaces in Between introduces us to a new chapter in Rojas’ career. In this new body of work, Rojas has done away with the figures of her stories in the past, and zoned in on exploring space and place. While more minimal and architectural the attention to detail remains faithful to Rojas’ body of work in these new paintings. Clare Rojas’ exhibition reminds us to slow down and take in the silence and pauses in the story, to look around and read the spaces in between.
