This comprehensive overview showcases the artist's work spanning from the early 1980s to the present day, featuring over 200 reproductions of Tasset's sculptures, photographs, and installations, complemented by extensive essays from curator Michelle Grabner and art writer Andrew Russeth.
The event will feature a book signing, preceded by a conversation between Tony Tasset and Michelle Grabner, and introductory remarks from Madeleine Grynsztiejn, the Pritzker Director of MCA Chicago.
For over three decades, Tasset has been creating innovative and thought-provoking works of art, exploring themes such as perception, identity, and the human condition. His works have been exhibited in major museums and galleries across the United States and abroad, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. Tasset has received numerous awards and grants throughout his career, including the prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship in 2006.
