Gibson transforms the bags with bead work, weaving, fringe, and other material interventions, forming abstract geometric compositions on their surfaces, interspersed with bits of text. It has been said that with the bags, Gibson "turns objectified targets for abuse into entities for admiration, conceptual symbols of beauty and complexity."
