Shampoo described himself to Alfred Conteh as a local player in the sex work game. He told Conteh about how the game has changed in recent years. He said sex work has always had the potential for exploitation, but the game has gotten so much worse lately with more violence, drugs, and human trafficking, even of children. He said he couldn’t be part of that, and with technology the way it is sex workers are able to be a lot more self sufficient anyway. “This guy was looking a little disheveled, not as pimp tight as he could be,” says Conteh. “He was still in the game, but only part time. He also did construction.”
