Along with her husband Barry McGee, Clare Rojas is one of the pioneers of the Mission School. Influenced by a mixture of low-brow, folk, graffiti, murals, skateboarding and comic art, Mission School artists rose to prominence in the late 1990s—early 2000s. Several members of the movement were featured in the 2008 documentary film Beautiful Losers.
