Kavi Gupta is pleased to announce our participation in Untitled Art, Houston 2026.
Kavi Gupta's presentation at Untitled Art Houston 2026 continues the gallery's mission to amplify the voices of artists whose work expands contemporary understandings of identity, culture, and belonging.
Kavi Gupta presents a booth bringing together artists Sara Rahanjam; and Haya Zaidi. Working from geographically and culturally distinct positions rooted in the Indo-Persian miniature traditions of South Asia, and visual vocabularies of contemporary Iran, both artists converge on an urgent shared inquiry: the female body as a site that has been coded, constrained, and contested by patriarchal systems, and the determined act of its reclamation. Through visual traditions that were historically defined by courts, institutions, and overwhelmingly male authority, these artists have claimed those traditions from the inside, redirecting their formal vocabularies toward female interiority, collective memory, and feminist critique. Together, they constitute a full argument that the systems scripting women's lives are being actively, formally, and beautifully refused.
Through exhibitions, publications, and international presentations, Kavi Gupta continues to expand the conversation on what defines contemporary art today. By situating women and diasporic artists from Persian-ate regions at the center, the gallery affirms that diversity is not a gesture of inclusion—it is the essence of culture itself.
Untitled Art, Houston is a boutique fair held from October 2 to 4, 2026 at the George R. Brown Convention Center. A VIP and Press Preview will be held on October 1. The fair’s expansion into Texas aims to engage new audiences across the city, state, and region, adding another cultural touchstone to one of the country’s largest, most diverse, and fastest-growing cities.
