A splash of color on Canon

Beverly Press, January 16, 2020

On Jan. 12, members of the Beverly Hills City Council, Next Beverly Hills Committee and Beverly Hills Arts and Culture Commission joined artist Tomokazu Matsuyama in unveiling Matsuyama’s mural on North Canon Drive.

The 80-foot-long, 20-foot-high mural, titled “Thousand Regards/Shape of Color,” was commissioned by the city to cover Metro’s temporary sound wall, which helps mitigate some of the effects of construction on the Purple Line Extension’s Wilshire/Rodeo Subway Station. The mural will remain in place for at least two years.
